Hi! I'm Casey Takahashi, a portrait photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I love photographing families, couples, engagements, and individuals, and I'm always excited to explore new styles and ideas. I'm especially interested in growing into wedding and product photography as my work evolves.
Photography has been in my life for over 15 years. I began focusing more on portrait photography in 2016, and a newborn session early on really shifted things for me. It showed me how meaningful these images can be, and how special it is to be invited into someone's story.
The Process
My work is guided by natural light and honest emotion, using simple, clean compositions to keep the focus on people. I aim to create images that feel warm and timeless — capturing fleeting moments that become memories.
I love working with people and helping them feel comfortable and seen. I'm playful and creative, but also organized and detail-oriented, so the process feels easy from start to finish. From planning to posing to making final edits, I put a lot of care into every step, and I want the experience to feel relaxed and fun — even if you're a little camera-shy.
Behind the Camera
Outside photography, I'm a software engineer by day and a big hobbyist by night. My passions include watercolor painting, singing, running, and cooking. I love spending time hiking in Pacifica, and I have a soft spot for rewatching Friends far more often than necessary.
